What Church TV OS does

Three modules for three kinds of screens, plus the tools that tie them together. Jump to Kids, Signage, Slides, remote control or the rest.

Kids module

Curriculum that plays itself into the room

The TV shows what is coming up and waits for a leader to press Play, so the person in the room is always in control.

  • Playlists of videos, picture slides, countdowns, song lyrics, YouTube videos and live streams, in the order you choose
  • Countdowns and timers for transitions, with a heading such as "Service starts in"
  • Song lyrics from your song library, split into slides, in your play order
  • YouTube by link, with an optional start time
  • Weekly rotation. Make a series (Week 1, Week 2, Week 3) and each Sunday gets the next playlist. Skip a holiday and the rotation waits.
  • Scheduled per room, and downloaded ahead of time so the room works even if the internet does not
  • Duplicate a playlist to tweak it for next week

Signage module

Lobby and hallway screens that look after themselves

Signage plays on its own, on a weekly schedule, with nobody needed at the TV.

  • Images, videos and text signs. Make a simple sign right in the dashboard, with your church colours, no design tool needed.
  • Live streams from an HLS link, for "watch the service" lobby screens
  • Weekly slots. "Weekdays 8 to 5, play the weekday loop." Higher priority wins if slots overlap.
  • Screen groups. Put your lobby screens in a group and give them one schedule.
  • Landscape or portrait, set per screen, for TVs mounted on their side
  • Black screen when nothing is scheduled, so a TV is never showing something out of date
  • Mixed TVs. Signage Monday to Saturday, Kids on Sunday morning, on the same screen.

Slides module

Decks for your services

Build a deck in the dashboard, schedule it like Kids, and someone in the room steps through it.

  • Slide types: text, songs with lyrics, pictures, video, countdowns, live streams and blank screens
  • Songs from your library. One slide per verse or chorus, following the play order, with an optional title slide that includes authors, copyright and CCLI number.
  • Themes. Fonts, colours, text position, shadow and outline, margins and your logo. Change the theme and every deck updates.
  • Backgrounds: a colour, a gradient, a picture, or a looping video behind the words, with a dim setting so lyrics stay readable
  • Private notes on any slide, never shown on the TV
  • Scheduling like Kids: one-off, or every week with a rotation of decks
  • Portrait screens supported, with a preview of both shapes in the editor

Step through with the TV remote or your phone: next, back, jump to any slide, blank.

Remote control

Your phone is the remote

Every paired TV shows up in the Control page of the dashboard and in the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps, live.

  • Previous, Next, and a list to jump to any slide
  • Blank screen on and off
  • Stop, and Play now: choose a deck or playlist and how long, and it replaces the schedule until you stop it or time runs out
  • Send a message of up to 200 characters, full screen, for a set time
  • Control several screens at once
  • See what each screen is showing and whether it is online
  • Operators can do all of this without being able to edit anything

Across everything

The rest of the toolbox

Calendar

One calendar for all your screens, in the time zone of each campus. Drag across a time to schedule a playlist or deck. Day, three-day and week views, on the web and in the apps.

PDF and PowerPoint import

Bring in existing presentations. PDF pages become full-screen pictures. PowerPoint slides become editable text slides with notes. PNG and JPG files work too.

Song library

Paste or import lyrics once, set the play order, and use them in Kids playlists and Slides decks. Edit a song and everything that uses it updates.

Edit anywhere

The web dashboard works on a phone. The iPhone, iPad and Mac apps (in beta) can edit playlists, decks and themes, add photos, and schedule.

Many campuses, many people

Sites and locations, plus owner, admin, editor and operator roles, limited by module and campus when you want.

Your church's look

Your logo and colours on the TV, including the pairing screen and an optional full-screen logo splash.

Works offline

TVs download what is scheduled ahead of time and keep playing from saved content when the internet drops.

Offline alerts

Turn on alerts in the iPhone app and hear about it when a screen stops checking in.

Portrait and landscape

Set the orientation per screen. Content turns to fit a TV mounted on its side. (YouTube videos do not rotate on portrait screens.)
